尿路感染症をより正確に診断するために，尿一般検査と微生物検査をどのように活用すればよいでしょうか？

はじめに

　今日，臨床検査技師のほとんどは「尿検査で膿尿と細菌尿を認めたら尿路感染症」と思っているのではなかろうか？　尿路感染症診断において最も重要なアプローチは尿路感染症特有の臨床症状があるかどうかであり，これが診断へのファーストステップである．つまり，尿一般検査や微生物検査において“膿尿および細菌尿が認められる＝尿路感染症”ではない．まずこの点を念頭に置いていただきたい．では，なぜ“膿尿および細菌尿が認められる＝尿路感染症”ではないのか？　その理由について，まず解説する．
