がん予防研究の過去・現在・未来

　わが国における部位別がん死亡率は時代とともに変化を続け，かつては男女とも死因の1位を占めていた胃がんは，男では肺がん，女では大腸がんに1位の座を譲った．

　さて，がん予防研究はどのような役割を果たし得たか，まずは胃がん死亡率の減少に1次予防が果たした役割を考察したい．そこから，これからのがん予防研究のあり方についての示唆が得られればとの願いからである．
