4．アイチウイルス感染症

文献概要

　アイチウイルスは，1989年，山下らが，カキが原因と推定された胃腸炎の集団発生において，患者の糞便から分離した¹⁾．その遺伝子構造からピコルナウイルス科に属する新型ウイルスであると考えられ²⁾，コブウイルス属とされた．コブは日本語の「瘤(こぶ)」に由来し，アイチウイルスが同じピコルナウイルス科のエンテロウイルスと比べて粒子の表面が瘤のようにゴツゴツしていることから名づけられた．アイチウイルスは種名であり，コブウイルス属には他にウシ由来のウシコブウイルス種が存在する³⁾．
