特別支援教育と軽度発達障害

　軽度発達障害は特別支援教育の在り方に関する調査研究協力者会議¹⁾で，対象を学習障害(LD)の他に多動性障害(ADHD)^※注および高機能自閉症等と決めた際，これらを一括として「軽度発達障害」という名称を与えたもので，正式には医学的用語ではなく，これに相当する英文名は存在しない．また，LD，ADHDおよび高機能自閉症等が軽度な発達障害かと言うとそうではない．発達障害の定義はICD-10のように，特異的発達障害および広範性発達障害の項目に記載された病態に限り，精神遅滞を除外するように限定的なものから，幼児・学童の発達に関わる病態すべてを発達障害に含めてしまう考えもあるなど，研究者によって様々で，この概念の基本に不明確な点を多く残している．

　本稿は軽度発達障害としてLD，注意欠如ADHD，高機能自閉症およびアスペルガー症候群に限ることにする．
