黄色ブドウ球菌感染症

はじめに

　ブドウ球菌属(genus Staphylococcus)は，強い病原性を持つコアグラーゼ陽性の黄色ブドウ球菌(Staphylococcus aureus，以下S. aureus)とその他のコアグラーゼ陰性ブドウ球菌に分類される．

　本稿では，肺炎を含めたS. aureus感染症の概要を解説する．
