近年のチクングニア熱の流行状況

はじめに

　チクングニア熱はチクングニアウイルスを原因とする蚊媒介性急性熱性ウイルス性疾患である．時に激しい関節痛，発疹を伴う．近年，アフリカ，南アジア，東南アジアの熱帯・亜熱帯地域を中心に流行が認められている．2006年には日本において初めての輸入症例が確認され，以後2010年10月までに計18例の輸入症例が確認されている．また2007年にはイタリアにおいて温帯地域で初めての流行が確認され，さらにフランスにおいても2010年9月に国内流行が発生した．イタリア，フランスにおけるチクングニア熱の国内流行は，日本にも生息するヒトスジシマカにより媒介されているため，チクングニアウイルスの日本への侵入，定着の可能性は否定できない．現在「感染症の予防および感染症の患者に対する医療に関する法律」で4類感染症に指定されるべく手続きが進行中である．4類感染症に指定された場合，当該患者を診断した医師はただちに保健所を経由して都道府県知事に届け出ることが求められる．
