低線量放射線の健康影響―チェルノブィリ事故の疫学調査を中心にして

はじめに

　これまでも私たちは自然の中に存在する放射性物質や放射線と暮らしてきたが，今後，福島第一原子力発電所の事故により環境を汚染した放射性物質とも，私たちは付き合わざるを得ない．その影響は広範囲に及び，公衆衛生関係者がその対応に貢献することが求められよう．そのために低線量放射線のリスクを皆さんと一緒に考えたい．なお，低線量の範囲は，国際放射線防護委員会(ICRP)の2007年勧告では実効線量として100mSv以下とされているが，必ずしもその定義は統一されていない．
