超高齢社会に備えた食生活・栄養摂取等の改善―長期コホート研究からの提案

はじめに

　超高齢社会の食生活やその他の生活習慣の在り方は，とりも直さず高齢になっても元気で日常生活が営める社会の実現に向けてのものである．また，世界に類のない高齢社会は，高齢者ができる限り自立して生活できる社会でなければならない．少子化の問題がなければ，世界一の長寿社会は理想の社会と言わねばならない．

　高齢者が生き生きと生活できる社会を保つには，若いときからそのような社会にふさわしい生活習慣の獲得が必要である．それでは，そのような生活習慣の在り方はどのようなものであるか，長期間のコホート追跡調査，ここではNIPPON DATAの知見¹⁾を中心にしながら述べる．
