ヘルスプロモーション活動における病院が担うべき役割―Health promoting hospitals and services(HPH)

　欧州を中心に，ヘルスプロモーション活動を積極的に実践する病院が増えている．こうしたヘルスプロモーション活動をすすめる病院は“Health promoting hospitals and services”(以下，HPHと略す)¹⁾と呼ばれ，国際的なネットワークを広げている．わが国では，2008年に千鳥橋病院(当院)が初めてHPHの国際ネットワークに加入した．

　わが国においても，多くの病院がヘルスプロモーション活動を積極的に実践すれば，公衆衛生上も有益な貢献になると考えられる．そこで，本稿ではHPHの概念等と当院のヘルスプロモーション活動の経験について紹介する．また，2010年に英国で開催されたHPHの国際カンファレンスに参加し，ヘルスプロモーション活動における今日的な病院の役割について学んだので，その内容についても紹介する．
