支援へのインターネットの活用について教えて下さい

　本稿のテーマは，「(こころの健康問題の)支援へのインターネットの活用について教えて下さい」という質問にお答えすることである．平成10(1998)年には1割程度であったインターネット利用率も，現在では約8割に上っており，こころの健康問題に関する支援にもインターネットを導入していくことは重要な課題であると考えられる．それでは，こうした技術は支援を実施する際にどのように活用可能なのであろうか．この質問に答える前に，まず，現在の地域保健の課題について，筆者の専門である自殺予防の観点から振り返っておきたい．課題を明確にすることによって，インターネットをどのように活用すれば地域保健に効果的に寄与できるかを明らかにすることが可能になるからである．
