シンデミックとHIV/AIDS

はじめに

　2011年8月26～30日まで，大韓民国・釜山において第10回アジア・太平洋地域エイズ国際会議が開催され参加する機会を得た．本稿ではとりわけ，今回の学会の中でしばしば言及されていた「シンデミック(syndemic)」という概念に着目し，HIV/AIDS研究におけるシンデミック・アプローチの重要性について触れてみたい．
