感染性胃腸炎の現状と課題

はじめに

　感染性胃腸炎はたいへん広い疾病概念であり，様々な原因微生物により引き起こされる胃腸炎・下痢症の総称である．世界中で普遍的に見られる疾病であるため，国際的に問題となる感染性胃腸炎のみを限定して取り上げることは難しい．しかし，国を越えての人々の移動や食品の流通が日常的となり，一方で，国や地域により感染性微生物の分布や対策が異なるため，国際的に問題となる，あるいは世界的に関心が高まっている疾病は確かに存在する．

　本稿では，感染性胃腸炎の基本的事項とともに，最近世界的に高い関心を集めているアウトブレイクの事例やトピックを取り上げ，対策の現状と課題について概説する．
