ヒブワクチンと小児用肺炎球菌ワクチン

はじめに

　インフルエンザ菌b型(Haemophilus influenzae type b;Hib)に対するヒブワクチン，肺炎球菌の特定の血清型に対する小児用結合型肺炎球菌ワクチン(Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine;PCV)は，それぞれ2008年と2010年に国内に導入された．ワクチンギャップという言葉に代表されるように，両ワクチンは，海外での導入時期と比べ，大きな遅れをとった¹⁾が，2011年2月から両ワクチンの公費助成が始まり，2013年4月には定期接種化され，そのギャップを一気に埋めることに成功した．この数年で，大きな動きのあった両ワクチンであるが，その疾患の疫学にも大きな変化がみられている．
