はじめに

　インターネットは近年急速に発達・普及し，われわれの生活の各所に入り込み，利便性を高めている．多くの人が直接的・間接的にその恩恵にあずかっていると考えられる．しかし普及とともに問題点も多くあり，その一つとして若者世代を中心にインターネット依存が大きな問題となっている．本稿ではインターネット依存^注)の診断・分類，有病率，引き起こす諸問題，予防，治療などについて総論的に述べる．
