【ポイント】
◆低栄養ならびにフレイルに関連する栄養要因の測定方法は複数知られているが,いずれにも利用限界がある.
◆地域在住高齢者において低栄養およびフレイルが予後に与える影響は大きく,栄養面からみたフレイルの原因ならびに背景要因は多彩かつ複雑である.
◆地域在住高齢者において食事からの低たんぱく質摂取はフレイル発症に関連している可能性は高いが,サプリメントによる筋肉量および身体活動能力の増強効果については現時点では否定的である.
