震災後の人口変化から将来の問題を考える

筆者の活動
　2011年の東日本大震災がきっかけで，福島県浜通り(相馬市，南相馬市，双葉郡といわき市から成る海沿いの地域)と関わりを持っています．当時大学5年生だった筆者は，住民検診，内部被曝調査のお手伝いのために浜通りの飯舘村へ赴きました．その2年後，研修医の地域研修で南相馬市にお邪魔した際には，健康講話を行うために市内の仮設住宅を全て訪問することができました．さまざまな形で被災された高齢者の方とお話して，津波被災・原発事故被災の違いによるコミュニティーの分断，健康への捉え方など多くの面で衝撃を受けました．その時の衝撃が，その後の活動の原点になっています．
　2014年に研修医を終えて相馬で勤務するようになってから，主に高齢者の健康対策に取り組んでいます．浜通りでの今後の課題は，急速に進む高齢化と，それに伴う医療・介護需要の増加だと考えたからです．ここでは，相馬で勤務するようになって以来，進めてきた人口変化の研究からお話ししたいと思います．
