ポイント
◆出生国や治療を受ける場所にかかわらず、全ての結核患者が適切な結核治療を受けて治癒することは、本人の健康維持のためのみではなく、結核のまん延防止のためにも非常に重要である。外国生まれ結核患者が結核治療中に出国する場合にも、出国先で適切な結核治療を継続して受ける必要がある。
◆米国では、MCNというNGOやCDCが、結核治療中に出国する結核患者の治療継続のための支援を行っている。
◆日本では、Bridge TB Careが2019年から研究事業として結核治療中に出国する結核患者の治療継続支援を試行した（2023年度終了予定）。
