術後眼内炎―危機を脱出するタイミングと方法

　本来，良好な視力が得られ，患者と術者は喜びを共有するはずであったのに，晴天の霹靂の如く急速に失明の危機に晒される……。白内障術後眼内炎の特殊性および重篤性を考慮した場合，対応の遅れや不十分な治療はその後の患者・術者双方に計り知れないダメージを招く。一方で，最善の対応を行えばほとんどの術後眼内炎は十分に治癒できる疾患でもある。そこで少しでも術後眼内炎を疑ったなら，できうる限り迅速に最善の対応を行い何とか危機から脱しなくてはならない。

　本稿では，白内障術後急性細菌性眼内炎に関して時系列を踏まえた治療ポイントについて述べるとともに，遅発性眼内炎の対処方法にも触れる。
