乳頭ピット黄斑症候群

はじめに

　視神経乳頭の先天異常に網膜剝離を伴うことがある。視神経乳頭ピット（小窩）もその1つであるが，網膜剝離の発生機序は依然として解明されておらず，治療法も確立していない。しかし，光干渉断層計（OCT）によって，この網膜剝離は，網膜分離様変化を合併していることが明らかになり，病像の程度や治療効果も詳細に検討できるようになってきた。もっとも，この病態は，OCTが登場する以前にLincoffら^1）がすでに提唱していたのであるが，OCTによってその詳細が解析できるようになったのである。現在，画像検査の進歩によって，その病態の理解が深まり治療法も変化している。
