角膜から得られたアカントアメーバを遺伝学的に同定した1例

要約　背景：アメーバの遺伝学的な分類は比較的新しく，型別の臨床症状や薬剤感受性などの違いは知られていない。目的：角膜炎の患者から分離されたアカントアメーバの遺伝学的分類。症例と方法：35歳女性が9日前からの左眼の充血と疼痛で受診した。3年前に購入したソフトコンタクトレンズを週に1回だけ装用していた。アカントアメーバ角膜炎を疑い，擦過物の培養で診断が確定した。アメーバの18SrDNA遺伝子をPCR-シークエンス法で解析し，GenBankに登録されているデータと照合して遺伝子タイプを調べた。結果：本症例のアメーバは18SrDNA分類のT4と同定された。結論：アメーバの遺伝学的な分類は診断と治療に有用であり，感染経路の予測など予防医学にも価値がある。
