使い捨てプリズムの必要性と一致性

　緑内障診療の眼圧管理においてはGoldmann圧平眼圧測定が現在の標準的手法となっている。

　Goldmann圧平眼圧測定では，眼圧計に付属するGoldmann標準プリズムを用いて測定を行うことが本来の方法であるが，プリズムを介した患者粘膜間の間接的接触が生じることから，流行性角結膜炎や想定外の感染症の伝播の潜在的リスクが存在する^1,2）。標準型プリズムを用いる場合，プリズムの消毒・滅菌が必要となるが，先頃英国において行われた全国調査では各施設間での消毒方法はまちまちで，わが国の実情もまた同様であろうと推測される^3）。
