視野のスコア化による病期判定とその意義

はじめに

　今日，臨床の現場で最も広く使用される緑内障性視野障害の病期判定の指標はMD（mean deviation，平均偏差）である。MDは，年齢別正常者からの平均低下量をデシベル（dB）単位で表したトータル偏差（測定値と年齢別正常値との差）のプロット上のすべての数値の平均である。

　また近年，緑内障性視野障害をスコア化することにより，病期判定とともに長期的な視野変化を評価する方法が大規模疫学調査のなかで作成されてきた。代表的な2つのスコアがAGIS（The Advanced Glaucoma Intervention Study）スコアとCIGTS（The Collaborative Initial Glaucoma Treatment Study）スコアである。
