文献概要

　インスリン様成長因子1（insulin-like growth factor-1：IGF-1）は細胞の分化，増殖に関与する成長因子の一種であり，その発現作用として血管新生，癌細胞増殖，神経細胞の分化，突起伸長などが挙げられる。癌治療において，すでにIGF-1受容体を標的とした臨床治験が開始されており，次第にその適応は拡大されている。眼科領域においても，IGF-1の神経保護効果や網膜虚血性疾患への関与が実験・臨床レベルにおいて明らかとなってきている。本稿では，IGF-1の基礎知識から臨床へのかかわりまでを総括する。
