以前の常識

●マイボーム腺機能不全（MGD）により蒸発亢進型ドライアイや眼不快感を引き起こすといわれていたが，定義や診断基準に一定の見解がなかった。

現在の常識

●国内および海外の研究グループによりMGDの定義や診断基準などが報告された。

●MGDが眼表面に与える影響やMGDの治療について今後の検討を要する点も多い。
