はじめに

　フェーキック眼内レンズ（Phakic intraocular lens：Phakic IOL）は水晶体が存在する状態で使用するIOLであり，近視矯正手術（遠視も可能）の1つである。別名眼内コンタクトレンズとも呼ばれる。高度な近視でも良好な視力が得られ，近視の戻りがなく，問題があれば摘出して元に戻せることが大きな利点である。レーザーによる近視矯正手術の限界が理解されるとともに普及する手術となった。

　最近のPhakic IOLの話題としては，2011年に乱視矯正のできるVisian ICL^TM（implantable collamer lens：以下，ICL）が国内承認され，2014年には光学部中心に貫通孔のあるHole ICLが承認されたことである。今後，ますますICLが広まっていくものと思われる。一方，隅角支持型のPhakic IOLであるAcrySof^® CACHET^® Phakic lens（Alcon）が製造中止となった。ヨーロッパでは最近まで販売されており，国内でも治験中であった。しかし，長期試験の解析結果で角膜内皮への影響が懸念されたため2014年にメーカーが自主的に製造中止とした。
