はじめに

　眼窩壁骨折（blow in fracture and blow out fracture）の患者が来院した際には，骨折患者だけでなく医療側も大変です。なぜかといえば，外傷の治療には緊急性があり，ひとつとして同じ状態のものはなく，医療スタッフを多数巻き込んで治療に当たるからです。時間と場所，人手を費やすため誰しもがかかわりたくない疾患でしょう。私も，年末年始の飲酒が絡む時期，祭りの時期，スポーツの秋などに多数の症例に携わり，こちらがblowされています。この記事を読んで，レクイエムと思って理解を深めていただける先生方が多ければ多いほど，われわれ眼形成医も癒されます。
