ドライアイに対するTear Film Oriented Diagnosis

ここが変わった！

以前の常識

　●2006年の診断基準では，ドライアイは，自覚症状，涙液異常〔涙液層破壊時間（BUT）異常（5秒以下），または，シルマーテスト1法異常（5mm以下）〕，上皮障害で診断されていた。そのため検査結果から，涙液減少型とBUT短縮型のドライアイを区別することが可能であった。

現在の常識

　●2016年の診断基準では，ドライアイは，自覚症状，BUT異常（5秒以下）で診断されるようになったが，ドライアイのサブタイプを分類することができない。

　●眼表面の層別診断（TFOD）は，涙液層の破壊パターンに基づいて，①その破壊をもたらす眼表面の不足成分の看破，②ドライアイのサブタイプ分類，③破壊を防ぐことでドライアイを治療しうる眼表面の層別治療（TFOT）の提案の3つを可能にする方法である。
