斜視のボツリヌス毒素治療

ここが変わった！

以前の常識

　●斜視への治験以外は，個人輸入で購入したボツリヌス毒素製剤を倫理委員会の承認を受けたうえでしか使用できなかった。

　●筋電図や電極兼用注射針も国産のものがなく，すべて海外から輸入した高価なものを使う必要があった。

　●上記の理由から，国内では斜視へのボツリヌス毒素治療は実際の臨床では行われていなかった。

現在の常識

　●2015年に斜視への適応拡大が認められ，国産の比較的安価で使いやすい筋電計や電極兼用注射針も開発されたが，施注には講習会受講と眼科専門医の資格が必要である。

　●水平斜視だけでなく上下斜視や麻痺性斜視にも広く注射できるようになったが，12歳未満の小児は非適応である。

　●ボツリヌス毒素治療は手術の困難な症例でも適応があり，斜視治療の選択肢の増加につながるものである。
