眼感染症診療への分子生物学の応用

文献概要

　眼感染症は，眼表面に常在する微生物や，環境由来の微生物によって起こる。その的確な治療には，起炎微生物の同定が必要であり，起炎微生物を同定するためには生体組織を採取しなければならない。採取できる眼材料は微量であり，環境由来の微生物には難培養なものもある。分子生物学的手法は，そのような眼感染症診療の難点を解決するための有用な診断ツールとなりうる。しかし，手法によっては高感度ゆえに誤診につながる可能性もある。各手法の特徴を理解し，結果を正しく解釈するために，古典的診断法と併用することが望ましい。
