本邦におけるFunctional Vision ScoreとThe 25-item National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaireとの関連

要約　目的：Functional vision score（FVS）は米国のロービジョン者において，視覚関連QOL尺度The 25-item National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire（NEI VFQ-25）との相関が大きく，他の視覚指標（視力，視野）よりもQOLをより良く予測することが報告されている。本研究は，本邦のロービジョン者におけるFVSとNEI VFQ-25の関連を確認することを目的とした。

対象と方法：4大学病院と1眼科医院に通院中の20歳以上のロービジョン者176名を対象とした。視力，視野検査の結果からFVS，FAS（視力評価スコア），FFS（視野評価スコア）を算出し，NEI VFQ-25との相関を求め，先行研究との比較，およびFVS，FAS，FFSとNEI VFQ-25との相関の強さを比べた。

結果：FVSは，NEI VFQ-25の「一般的健康感」「目の痛み」以外の9領域と総合得点と有意な相関を示した。最も相関が強かった領域は「遠見視力による行動」であり，次いで総合得点であった。FVSは，FAS，FFSと比較して，最も多くの領域（「周辺視力」「色覚」「心の健康」「社会生活機能」「役割制限」「自立」「遠見視力による行動」）および総合得点と強く相関していた。

結論：本邦のロービジョン者において，FVSとNEI VFQ-25の関連は，先行研究と同じ傾向の相関関係であることが確認され，FVSは視機能関連QOLを予測する指標であることが示された。
