肥満が引き起こす加齢黄斑変性の発症・増悪メカニズム

肥満では，脂肪組織のみならず，さまざまな臓器に炎症を引き起こし，動脈硬化や悪性腫瘍，さらには加齢黄斑変性（AMD）など多様な疾患の発症に寄与することが明らかになりつつある。本稿では，肥満が慢性炎症を引き起こすメカニズムからAMDに与える影響，そして，肥満改善がAMDに与える影響について，最新の知見を解説する。
