　Szent Györgyi^1） proposed a chemical equilibrium model on muscular contraction on the Varga's^2） well-known experiments and concluded for it to be an entropy contraction like rubber elasticity．Such a chemical model is easy to understand but not convenient for physical analysis，so that we tried to extend his model to a physical lattice one．
　He assumed a contraction unit of actomyosin（AM）-ATP complex, autone, which has only two states, contracted（C）and relaxed（R），a equilibrium between them being expressed as follows；（AM-ATP）_R⇄（AM-ATP）_C（1）
