連載に当たって
病院管理は実践することに意義があるので，「学」としての「理論」は不要であるという考え方もある．しかし，原点に遡って学術的に解析しないと，制度改定に翻弄されるままになりかねない．本連載は5回にわたり，病院を管理する上で地図とコンパスとなるよう，まず1回目は医療を社会学，経済学，政治学の各視点から分析する．次いで2回目は医師と病院の歴史，3回目は経営学の立場から病院組織の構造，4回目は人事管理，最後の5回目は病床管理と医療連携をそれぞれ取り上げる．連載後は加筆修正のうえ，聖路加国際大学大学院において開講される「病院管理」の教科書として刊行する予定である．なお，管理会計を中心とした財務管理は別稿^1）を，医療介護政策については拙著^2）を参照されたい．
