1　診療の概要

　急性陰囊症（acute scrotum）は，陰囊部または陰囊内容の急激な有痛性腫脹をきたす疾患群の総称である。精巣捻転症は緊急手術の対象となるため，可能な限り迅速な対応が要求される^1,2）。急性陰囊症は多くの疾患が原因となるが（表1），実際には精巣捻転症，精巣付属器捻転症，急性精巣上体炎の三疾患で約80％を占め，これらの鑑別が重要である^3,4）。
