過活動膀胱の今後の展望―新しい疾患概念の導入から8年が過ぎて

文献概要

要旨　国際禁制学会（ICS）から2002年に報告された新しい用語基準では，下部尿路機能に関する用語が大幅に改訂された。本邦でもこの改訂が下部尿路機能障害の診療と研究に大きな影響を及ぼす可能性が想定されたため，この日本語訳が出版された。当初はこの改定された用語基準に対して多くの懸念が挙げられ，過活動膀胱の診療への混乱が考えられたが，それらに対してさまざまな対応がなされて，大きな問題が起こることもなく現在に至っている。本稿ではこの自覚症状による定義がもたらした功罪と今後の過活動膀胱の展望について概説した。
