神経疾患に伴う過活動膀胱（OAB）と認知機能に対するイミダフェナシンの安全性と効果

　過活動膀胱（OAB）と認知症は高齢者の生活の質を低下させるものであり，社会的な関心が高い。一方近年，抗コリン薬による認知機能低下が懸念されている。われわれは，神経疾患に伴うOABを有する患者62名を対象に，イミダフェナシン0.1mgを1日2回，3か月間投与し，OABおよび認知機能（MMSE，FAB，ADAS-cog）に及ぼす薬剤の影響を評価した。その結果，イミダフェナシンは，認知機能を増悪させることなくOAB症状を改善した。また，同意の得られた35名に尿流動態検査を実施し，膀胱容量の増加を確認した。イミダフェナシンは神経疾患に伴うOABに対して，中枢副作用の面から安全に使用できる薬剤と考えられた。
