慢性前立腺炎/慢性骨盤痛症候群に対する治療―抗菌薬

要旨　慢性前立腺炎/慢性骨盤痛症候群に対する抗菌薬治療は，以前から広く行われてきた。近年のプラセボとの比較研究では，残念ながらプラセボを上回る有効性を証明し得ていないが，いずれの報告においても，ある程度の症状の軽減は得られている。抗菌薬治療の有効性を高めるためにはいくつかの条件が必要かもしれないが，炎症性サイトカインが関与した炎症が症状の主体である症例を選択することができれば抗菌薬の治療的意義は飛躍的に高まると期待される。
