要旨　慢性前立腺炎/慢性骨盤痛症候群の成因は不明であり，抗菌薬，α1-ブロッカー，植物製剤などの薬物治療の有効性も60～70％程度であることから，これらの薬物療法が無効である症例に対し薬物治療以外の治療法が試みられてきた。針治療，経尿道的前立腺マイクロ波温熱療法などがあり，前2者はわが国の保険診療で行うことができる。いずれの方法も薬物療法と同様に100％の有効性は期待できないが，試みる価値はあると思われる。既存の治療法が無効の症例に対する心理学的教育法（カウンセリング）についても言及する。
