要旨　骨盤臓器脱修復術で尿失禁手術を同時施行すべきかどうかは長年議論されているが，施設間に意見の相違があり，確定的な解答は得られていない。QOL疾患である骨盤臓器脱では，術後の腹圧性尿失禁は患者の期待感を大きく損ねる。一方，TVTやTOTなどの中部尿道スリング手術は，経腟の低侵襲手術で手術時間が大幅に延長することはない。また，一定以上の経験を積むことで膀胱損傷や術後排尿困難はきわめて低頻度となり，かつこれら術後合併症の対策も存在する。したがって，術後腹圧性尿失禁の術前予想は難しいものの，その可能性がある場合は積極的に尿失禁手術を併施すべきと考える。
