女性ホルモン剤による治療の今後

要旨　前立腺癌に対する女性ホルモン剤による治療は，心血管系合併症などの副作用の問題で，以前より使用頻度が減少している。現在の適応としては，抗癌剤・新規薬剤・ステロイド剤などと同様に去勢抵抗性前立腺癌（CRPC）に対する治療の1つであると考えられる。治療成績としてCRPCに対して一定の有効性があると報告されており，副作用に注意すれば予後・QOLに貢献できる治療法であるが，使用可能な2剤の使い分けやほかの薬剤との使い分けについて確立された方針はない。今後は，どのような症例にどのタイミングでどこまで継続するのがよいのかを検討することで，CRPCに対する個別化医療がさらに発展していくと考えられる。
