ここがポイント
◉標準的前立腺生検方法は，経直腸超音波下の10〜12か所生検である．アプローチ経路としては，経直腸的アプローチと経会陰的アプローチがあるが，それぞれの利点・欠点を理解し，施設ごとの設備や症例により選択する．
◉経直腸生検では，超音波プローブを生検部位に固定するまで生検針の先端はガイド内十分手前に引いておき，生検針発射の際には，プローブを直腸壁にしっかり圧着させることで直腸出血の予防をする．
◉生検の採取部位は，あらかじめ順番を決めて採取する．採取組織の一方に点墨してから固定することにより，癌の占拠部位など，のちの治療方針決定の際の参考となる．
