精索静脈瘤

ここがポイント
◉内精静脈が，蔓状静脈叢内で異常な拡張と蛇行を呈した状態を指し，逆流に伴ううっ血によって起こる．逆流の原因は，左腎静脈圧の亢進や静脈弁の機能異常などが考えられている．大部分は左側であるが，両側例も報告されている．
◉精巣の温度上昇，腎・副腎代謝産物の精巣への逆流，酸化ストレスの亢進などが精子形成障害を引き起こすと考えられているが，精索静脈瘤をもつ男性の85％は妊孕性があり，生殖能力への影響はまだ不明である．
