▶ポイント

・ホルモン感受性，去勢抵抗性のいかんを問わず，全身化学療法投与のタイミングを逃さないことが重要である．つまり，前立腺癌治療の経過中どこかのタイミングで全身化学療法の投与が行われることが好ましいが，そのタイミングは患者ごとに異なる．

・ドセタキセル，カバジタキセルともに確立した効果予測因子は存在しないこと，忍容性を鑑みて，投与の可否やスケジュールを決定する．一般的には全身状態（PS）が保たれているうちに投与を検討することが好ましい．

・化学療法を好んで使用する医師も患者もいないのが現実であるが，その役割と利益に関して患者と早期からディスカッションすることが大切である．
