▶ポイント

・手術機器の進歩に伴い，前立腺肥大症（BPH）は安全で有効な日帰り手術が可能になってきている．

・日帰り手術によって患者の精神的・肉体的負担の軽減が可能であるが，安全性の担保には患者選択が重要である．

・日帰り手術は医療費の抑制が可能であり，患者側に利点が多いが，本邦の医療制度・診療点数から俯瞰すると，現状では医療者側の利点が少ないことが普及を妨げていると考える．
