▶ポイント

・高齢者は心身の機能低下や社会的背景に個人差が大きいため，PSや年齢のみで化学療法の適応を判断することが困難である．

・高齢がん患者で考えるべきこととして，予後の推測，患者の意思決定能力や価値観，患者の総合的な機能評価，化学療法により期待される効果および有害事象のリスクが挙げられる．

・高齢者に特異的なさまざまな評価ツール（CGA，G8，CARGなど）に基づいた介入を行うことで，化学療法の毒性を減少させることができることが示唆されている．
