摂食・嚥下障害における口腔ケア

要旨：嚥下障害への対応の目的が経口栄養摂取による早期の社会復帰であり，呼吸機能の安全な確保であることを前提にして，4（5）期型の摂食嚥下過程（先行期，準備期，口腔期，咽頭期，食道期）の各段階で嚥下障害を惹起する背景について述べた．外科臨床における術後管理のために行われる処置の多くに嚥下障害のリスクを高くするものが多いことを述べ，摂食嚥下障害へのすべての対応に先立って行うべき口腔ケアの必要性について概説した．
