はじめに

　直腸の切離と吻合をともに器械で行うdouble stapling technique（DST）は1980年KnightとGriffenらによってはじめて導入された．DSTは簡便で術野汚染が少なく骨盤深部でも比較的安全に吻合できる一方，器械の使用方法や特性を熟知する必要がある．本稿ではDSTを用いた回腸-直腸吻合につき解説する．
