要旨：GIST診療ガイドラインが出版され，胃粘膜下腫瘍の治療方針も示された．現状ではFNABの普及率が低く，日常診療において粘膜下腫瘍の正確な病理学的診断が困難であるため，常にGISTを念頭に入れた治療方針を立てる必要がある．これを踏まえたうえで今回のガイドラインを理解し，実践する一助としてその特徴を解説する．さらに今後，日本発のエビデンスを示していく可能性についても考えたい．
