■横行結腸，S状結腸は可動性のある臓器であるが，下行結腸は後腹膜に固定されており，その授動には正確な解剖学的知識が必要である．

■悪性腫瘍の手術では大腸癌取扱い規約にあるように，その支配動脈との腫瘍の位置関係で術式が決まる．

■下腸間膜動脈からの分岐にはバリエーションがあるので，分岐のパターンおよび頻度を熟知しておく必要がある．
