胃癌外科治療の日本と海外との相違点

文献概要

要旨：わが国における胃癌外科の治療成績は，短期成績も長期成績も良好である．これを支えている要因としては，優れた診断技術と国民皆保険制度により保障された医療アクセスの容易さなどが挙げられる．また，胃癌研究会の胃癌取扱い規約を軸に，内科・外科ばかりでなく病理をはじめとした基礎医学者が胃癌研究のために努力したことが今日の成果をもたらしたと考えられる．日本胃癌学会が設立され，胃癌の化学療法にも目が向けられるようになり，優れたエビデンスを創出する体制が整いつつある．韓国などにおいて胃癌診療レベルの向上が著しいが，当分の間は世界の胃癌診療のリーダーとしての日本の地位は揺るぎないものと考えられる．
